The original red cloth boards are in very good condition, the spine is slightly faded and the edges of the front board are a little dirty. FFEP is age toned and has been flat signed by Agatha Christie. The remainder of the book is clean, tight and square with no other marks or inscriptions. No foxing or browning throughout until the LFEP which is slightly age toned. The original unclipped dust jacket showing 7s 6d net has been backed with brown paper. There is rubbing and slight loss to the fold of the wrap around sand to the spine. With chipping and fractional loss to the head and tail of the spine. There are one or two blemishes to the rear panel but overall it is a very good example of the scarce dust jacket. The copy is from the collection of John Cooper. John Cooper is well known in detective fiction circles as an author of several authoritative books on the subject.
